Planform
The word planform refers to the shape or outline of an object such as a building when projected onto a horizontal plane.
Culvert, screen and outfall manual, (CIRIA C786) published by CIRIA in 2019, defines planform as: ‘The form of a river or screen when viewed from above, for example, the term ‘meandering’ is a description of a sinuous planform.’
